Happy Halloween: Pandemic books from the archives

Stephen King's The Stand and Richard Preston's The Hot Zone take center stage in this videopost from my archives.

Have a terrifying read!

Questions: What books both scare you and captivate you enough that you'd still read them again?

Please Note: technically Tis not the season for this video yet (my vid)
I read The Stand, and i will say that it was the most frightening (without being gorey ~ it's much more "intellectually" scary) book I've ever consumed. After a few pages, I insisted on having someone else in the room, with the lights on, when I was reading it. It is SO very worth putting this book on your Top 100 list. And whatever did happen to Molly Ringwald?

There was an ebola outbreak in Washington, D.C.? Why does not everyone know about these things? You've intrigued me. I'm gonna run out and get a copy of The Hot Zone.
